School Site Council | Sitio Escolar
The school site council is a group of teachers, parents, and classified employees, that works with the principal to develop, review and evaluate School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and school budgets. The members of the site council are generally elected by their peers.
El consejo escolar es un grupo de maestros, padres y empleados clasificados, que trabajan con la directora para desarrollar, revisar y evaluar el Plan Escolar para el Rendimiento Estudiantil (SPSA) y los presupuestos escolares. Los miembros del consejo escolar son elegidos generalmente por sus compañeros.

Each school with 21 or more students of Limited English Proficiency (LEP) in attendance, regardless of language, must form a functioning English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). The ELAC is a school-level committee comprised of parents, staff, and community members designated to advise school officials on English learner programs and services. The role of the ELAC is to advise the principal and School Site Council (SSC) on programs and services for English learners.
